Hi, I'm currently renovating a !974 Coronet 32' Oceanfarer, it has twin Chrysler 318's. When filling the two 80 gal. tanks, the gas will always back up the fill tubes before the nozzle shuts off. Not a lot, but enough to be very annoying not to mention dangerous. It was mentioned to me to check the vents. The tanks are new stainless steel, they have a vent tube on top, a rubber hose runs to the back of the boat, about 10 feet long, it is vented into the rear bilge venting area. I don't like this, and am thinking it should be vented thru the hull to the outside. It was this way when I bought the boat. The previous owner had the tanks installed at a boat yard. Also at times I can smell the aroma of gas when I work in the bilge, which I believe to be coming from these vent tubes. What do you think? Thanks, Bill
