I was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me identify the bike I just received. I was told it is an 80cc dirtbike, other than that I have no information. Would there be a serial number on these bikes, and if so where would it be? I assume this is the only way I'll be able to properly identify it. From the pictures I've seen on othersites it is similiar in shape to the "Woodsman."

Dale T The woodsman was made in the mid 50's it was a 500cc made by the brit co. Royal Enfield. They just slapped and indian logo on these bikes. The small 80cc bike was made in the 70's I have seen them but dont Know alot about them. the #'s should be on the engine case's somewhere. I'll check the archives and get back to you.

Re: Indian motorcycle

Indian was an old american motorcycle company that made big road hogs similer to the Harley. They were taken over by the british Royal Enfield company in the early 50's (probably just to use the name "Indian") But only relabled the English style bikes they produced as Enfields, and exported/imported them to the states. :D

Re: Indian motorcycle

Thanks guys, your help is most appreciated. I don't really plan on doing much serious riding on this bike, but I vacation on 42acres of land and if possible would like to have somethiing to goof around on as well as teach my younger brother to ride.
