Re: inflatable pics

Opps I think that I just messed up. I allowed my son to see me looking at this forum and now he wants to try this out. Godd save me from his mom if we do.

Tunnel hull or catamaran racing inflatables is usually what they are called. As I understand, they were pioneered in South Africa. There are a probably at least a dozen manufacturers who make them now, some clearly better than others so do your research before you buy. I have one but I still continue to learn more from deejaycee.

Re: inflatable pics

They are called a couple of things: Pencil-ducks, thunderducks, thundercats, zapcats, x-cats ...... there are basically only 4 brands of this boat (all situated here in South Africa) that build them, the brands are: Ceasar, Aquarius, Xtreme & Gemini, all the other brands are basically copies of these boats mass produced in korea, but these 4 brands improve their design every year for better performance as this kind of boat racing is very big here in South Africa ..... the go for about $2350 ...

I quite fancy a ceasar marine Thunderbolt-next step up from the Thundercats at 5.3m with wheel steering, seats and 90hp rating.

Re: inflatable pics

we race our surf rescue boats over here in australia, 3.75m single hulls, limited to 25hp :( good fun, but judging by the thundercat pics, we are the poor cousin of the 2 sports lol, we got our new arancia soft hull, turns on a dime, will hook into a 360 degree turn at 45kmh and the nose will stay in the same spot, i love the new hull

the blurry shots were taken off a video we filmed
looks specky, but its a pretty poor launch and could have ended quite bad
