The extension on that picture was just temporary to get it going last fall. Over the winter I did one that covers the whole transom. Didn't have choice since the motor is long shaft.

No I didn't but where I like to go there is lot's of grass and stones ...
Well, perhaps I should have but now it's too late, the new transom is on and it's virtually impossible to take off ...

That's true but I would be worried if the prop is 5" lower to hit stones all the time ...
The darn weather doesn't cooperate so still can't test it :(

Where do you live? I bought my smart tabs at bass pro shops in Vaughn and I have seen them at a marina in Ft. Erie also...
Where is that shot from? that place look familiar?

Ottawa river just under the prime minister's residence :)
Can't find the around here. They are reasonably priced in US $75 but only shipping is UPS. Those bastards are con artists they charge ridicules custom clearance fee.

Man that sucks!! UPS are criminal! Their own delivery guy told me even he wont use them if the shipment is coming from the states, he had no explanation for the $102.67 fee and told me to call a 1800 number... (with a wink) You call the 1800 number and you go into an endless loop...
Its been allot of years since I have been on the Ottawa River! I caught my first tiger musky there :)
Thats a shame with all the marinas there that nobody carries them. I can find out the name of the marina in FT. Erie if ya want their shipping should be more reasonable! I would also try sending Nauticus an email about your predicament, I would hope they can direct you to a dealer closer to home.
Regards Jon
