Hey all!
I am relatively new to the forum and have been searching for info on my "new" 76 marquis. Haven't been able to find anything yet. I believe it's a Marquis 1900R Carribean runabout (closed bow, no cabin) with a mercruiser 165 l6 and pre-alpha outdrive. the title doesn't list a model, only a manufacturer and year. I'm trying to figure out what the original weight is for the boat.

I think the trailer its on isn't quite big enough for it. it fits dimensionally but it's a 3000# single axle trailer without brakes and squats pretty low with the boat on it. it's not quite roadworthy enough to pull to the nearest scale...only has to make it from the camper to the boat ramp and back-only a few hundred feet. I just want to get it set up so I can pull it home and work on it or pull it into town to fuel up.

can't find much info on the boat so anything anybody knows about it would be much appreciated, especially related to the weight.
thanks in advance!
Jim

thanks southkogs!
for some reason I couldn't find that particular page on my own. I do feel a lot better about using the trailer I have for the mean time but will still be looking for a better one in the future.

this is my first boat and I'm just trying to find as much info as I possibly can on it

I completely understand - mine was the same type of search and learn. Sometimes it's how you word your search strings in the search engines ... I guess I've got a knack for it.

Enjoy.
