Re: Info needed on linolium removal...
rc581....

The kitchen floor is smooth enough I will be able to put the new flooring, linolium/vinal, over the old, with no anticipated problems and the utility area and the second upstairs bathroom linolium is cleaning up real nice like. This will save me a lot of time in meeting my time goal. The masterbathroom and the downstairs bathroom floor is tile, which I will install myself.

aspeck....

The entire upper level floor is oak plank flooring,is quite thick wood and is in magnificent condition. This includes all of the closets. I am going to have the linolium installed in the kitchen, no way I would attempt that. (at least in a home I own.)

I busted my "hump" with last week, with some help from my daughter, and made some real headway.
My third dumpster arrived this AM and hopefully I am done with for the house it's it's self.

The new dumpster is on ly a 15 cu. yard one and I have already filled two 30 yd. ones!!

The way is has been going the last couple of weeks, I really think I will meet my goal of October 1st.

I still have the yard issue to contend with. Rather than redo the landscaping, I have decided to offer the buyer, whoever that will be, a cash rebate after the close of escrow, to do what they want to do with on landscaping or what ever.

Property is still a sellers market in this area and I want to make it available, before the bubble bursts.

A home across the street from me had it's first showing a week ago Sat/Sun and had a "sold" sign on Tuesday!! My place is much larger and has a larger piece of property, than the one that just sold. There were apx. 80 people who went thru the home in the two days it was open. Like I said, it is still a real sellers market here, with most homes being sold with offers higher than the listing prices.

Thanks again for the great feed back.

...Bob in Calif...
