Have 16' Starcraft stripped down supersport, bottom in bad shape, bad fiberglass patches over alum, bad flaking paint. We've taken off motor, steering wheel, want to turn over to strip rest of flaky paint and fiberglass patches, (some are hidden by bunks on trailer.) We're planning to use Easy Off oven cleaner to strip. Any ideas, tips to ease it over or cautions to avoid damaging boat by turning it over?? Have Gluv It for inside when all rivets are marked/tightened. Thanks

Lots of friends..... flip it and let rest on boards. Be carefull it can get away from you quick. I would get at least 4-5 people to flip it.

Look at my thread. I have aluminum hull Starcraft. I stripped her. Take a look. I used Tuff Job stripper found at Home depot. It is made for Marine use as well and cleans up with water. It works amazing just look at my thread like i said. Oven cleaner will not do it.

MrMarine Thanks for the tip, going out to get some now. I read your thread, throw some luck my way will ya! I hope the rest of your year is as good as this. Our boat is the same boat as yours but a 16', used to be the supersport but as I said had been stripped long ago, except for the 1 console that looks like yours did. Somebody said on your thread if you have small holes in the bottom use epoxy on them? What exactly is "epoxy"? I mean I know the epoxy resin they use on the floors, is that it? and would marinetex grey do better? thanks again for the info
