I changed the water pump on my motor, put leg back on, shifter was a little stiff, and now its stuck in gear, wont shift back into neutral.
DOH! what did i do wrong? how do i get it into neutral now?

ohh my i just realized that the shift control rod stayed in the uper part of the engine when i removed it,
pulled right out of the lower unit, thats not normal is it?
