The bell housing/gimbal housing is level on the outside of the boat. However it appears that the inner transom plate is not level... Meaning one mount is slightly higher than the other. Does this matter? As long as the motor is level forward to back. And left to right so the shaft is lined up does it matter If the engine is higher on one side? For example. Extreme as it may be. But if front to back and left and right were level and square. Could the motor be mounted upside down? Like if u were to rotate the motor along the axis of the output shaft.

Re: Inner transom plate level

I wasn't serious about being upside down...but can anyone tell me if it is or isnt okay for motor mount(transom plate) to be slightly off level? And what is the best way to determine it is level...
