Im in charlotte also. the bug you dont want iS the BOXELDER BUG. Once they breed its inposible to get rid of them. Even pro exterminators cant do it. Be VERY CAREFUL buying pine straw from just anyone because often a bail can be contaminated with several thousand of these bugs and you never see them till you open up the bail. Then its too late. They dont hurt anything but they reproduce by the 10s of thousands and THERE IS NO WAY TO EXTERMINATE THEM.
