Inspecting 2002 Tracker 125 HP Outboard

I bought a 1992 4 cylinder 40 hp Merc with oil injection system and love it. Talked to a couple mechanics about the system before purchase and all positive recomendations. Motor has had no issues since bought new, I am second owner. Motor idles so slow you can hear each cylinder fire. Be sure to use good quality two stroke oil and do not allow debris to get in the oil.
According to those I have talked to about oil injection systems, it was unanimous the the Merc system was the most reliable.

By the way this is the first time I drive a 2+2 motor, it was very noticeable a kick when power hitted of the 4 cylinders working it is not an smooth acceleration as i have with my old 50 hp, Is this a normal thing?
