Can someone point me to some info on the process to remove the hatch and inspect/clean out the drives?

These are 1999 Volvo Penta drives.

They sat for a year in salt water without being run and barnacles, etc are all built up in there.

I’ve included a photo of the manufacturer data they gave me.

I googled the engine model # and from what I saw it looks like the rear of the pumps un bolt for service. It looks like the steering and reverse controls have to be disconnected. With Volvo’s reputation for ease of maintenance it should be no problem to clean out he barnacles even with the boat in the water.
This was sold as a complete power package so parts will be easy to find but I am sure will not be cheap.

Ayuh,..... Odds are they are either rebadged Berkley's or Jacuzzi's,....

Years ago, I had an OMC jet, which was a rebadged Berkley,....

Those pumps are made in Finland and are a genuine Volvo power package.’
If you google the model # it shows a picture of the pump and drive along with a description of the engine and transmission.
