Install Extra tilt/trim switch

I bought this switch a while ago from iBoats.<br /><br />I cannot for the life of me find the instaltion instructions!<br /><br />I have 3 wires Purple Green and blue.<br /><br />I also have a force 1988 856X8A 85 with tilt/trim. 2 wire motor I believe.<br /><br /><br />How do I hook this up to work?

Ok switch has Green purple and blue wires.<br />I see that the relays have green red black and green/white blue/white basically do I need to splice into the blue/white/ gree/white? and the purple needs 12V+ is that correct?

Realgun you might ask your question in the force forum. I cant answer the question because I dont have a wiring diagram.

Sounds good to me Realgun.<br /><br />My wire colors were a little different because my motor is newer and uses the Mercury colors.

reelgun<br />youre two greens should go together and they should be youre ground or common wich ever.. either way those two togather then if youre other 4 wires are backwards the worst that will happen is it will go up when you press down and down when you want up..So in that case just change the 4 wires..

Reelgun never mind my post sorry just reread youre wires..Mine didnt match either but there were exactly the same amount of wires sorry..

Green = grass (down)<br />Blue = sky (up)<br />Purple = keyed +12V<br /><br />The blue/white and green/white wires are the control wires into the relays, and purple can be attached to a non-keyed +12v source if you want that switch to work with the ign key off.

TX shorty that what I needed to KNOW!! Thanks. That purple threw me off as I want it to work with key off so I can raise the motor without jumping in and out of the boat.<br /><br />So the green/white/blue/white are controls AH said the electronics tech. I had a bit of training. Just enough not to get electrocuted but enough to be dangerous. <br /><br />So now I just need a 12V+ source. There has to be 1 somewher I will meter it out. Then the purple will go to the 12V+ and I will test the other wires while pressing the button. If it works I will then crimp the wires and shrink wrap it all together. <br /><br />Mechancally I do get thing backwards ie; I had the rack and controls backwards. kinda hard to steer and go forward when you think right is left and forward is backwards. <br /><br />I never have time to do things right but always have time to fix the problems.
