install new prop procedures

I want to remove and install a new prop on my 3.o L mercruiser sterndrive but have never done it before. Is it a straight forward idiot proof exercise - take the nut off remove old prop, slide new prop on and tighten nut? any special precautions - anti-seize, grease, new washers, etc.?

Pretty straight forward, you summed it up well when you asked the question. Don't forget to replace the cotter pin on the prop nut. A little anti-seize is a great idea if you dont change props often.
