Anyone know if these motors come prewired for a tach? Just bought a boat and it didn't come with one. I'd like to install an analog tach, but I'm unsure if the wiring harness going to the helm includes the signal wire for it. I'd look under the dash myself, but it's a couple of hours away and I'd like to get this figured out and prepare for when I do go and get it.

Thanks.

I know you are looking for an analog gadget, but the mercury vessel view would be a lot easier and more accurate

I actually did order the VesselView Mobile already, but still wanted something in the mean time and to use as a quick glance without having to pull a phone or tablet out. Regardless, I did find a tach signal wire tucked in the helm and installed a tach. Reads right at idle, we'll see how it does at higher RPMs later today.

I found that my factory installed tach is about 400rpm's off from vessel view at full throttle

Yeah, I don't expect the tach to be too accurate. My VesselView Mobile should be here sometime today(Amazon).
