Installed guages today,Trim reads Backward

Put in my 4 new teleflex guages today,all good except when my motor is all the way up the new guage reads down,and when its down it reads 3/4 .I get about 2 ohms when its up and about 90 when pushed in on the sender arm,do they make the right sender for a early 80s v4 115 johnson that will work ?did i wire it wrong?does it matter which of the 2 wires from the sender go to ground and s terminal on guage?Please Help

OMC and Merc trim gauges read opposite of each other. Did you get the right one?

The auction didnt specify but i got a great deal,i can always sell this one and buy a omc one i guess if thats what it takes.

It must be the mercury one...and yes you got a great deal on those gauges..just a tach guage new is about $45

It Seems That Teleflex Only Makes The Sterling (brushed Aluminum)for Mercury,does Anyone Know Where I Can Get A Omc Trim To Match?or One That Looks Like It

I did find the same gauge on boatfix.com for omc,I have the mercury gauge on ebay for $8 plus $6 shipping if anyones intrested im me
