I'm replacing the old reclining chairs in my boat with a captains chair on the drivers side.
The chair did not come with hardware. Can someone recommend bolts etc. And also I will need to reinforce since my sole is only 1/2" so any tips for reinforcment are also greatly appreciated.
ps. I will not be able to get under the sole without cutting an access.
THANKS!
EDIT:
are these things any good?
Garelick Toggles

Re: installing chair pedestal

If you can get under it- nuts, bolts, big washers or better yet-- a back up plate is better than any screw coming down from the top.

A buddy of mine swears by those butterfly bolt things. But they are for places you can't otherwise get a nut onto the backside of.

The more surface area of supports you have on the back side of something, the better.

Ed.
