I am installing a deck plate in a Crestliner Sabre SST transom splash well. It will have water in it a lot. The deck plate is West Marines Screw-in Deck Plate UV- Resistant ASA Plastic. The package stated to use Silicone but I am finding that I can’t use just any Marine Silicone. Apparently certain Marine Silicone gives off acid when it’s drying that can cause issues with the Aluminum. What can I use?
