installing volvo oudrive

I was just curious as to whether you think its better to put the upper and intermediate on w/o the lower unit on, or if I should put the whole thing together and then install it?


Second, I didn't see it in the manual, but I didn't read every page either,
Should I put grease on the vertical shaft bearig?

I'd put it on as one unit. Much easier to get the lower in place off the boat, and just hang it as a unit.

Yeah, thats what I ended up doing, wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticpated!
