installling new outboard?

not a johnson but a suzuki but there seems to be no written info in installing them from this company !?!?! someone who owns OEM factory manuals told me there was none there either. The documentation that came with my engine doesnt have any.

Since johnson is the most popular I am trying here to see if someone has a general link or good info on how to mount the engine correctly onto the hull. Thanks everyone.

If you're asking in what position, the standard is using a straight edge off the bottom of the hull to align with the anti-cavitation plate on the lower unit.

This has worked on any engine I ever mounted.

That is a good site. I used their info when determining what height to use.

BTW, it really helped to have an engine hoist to hold and position the motor. The local rental store charged about $36 day. Well worth the expense!
