Insulation around stove? Interesting help needed

Ok, this is hard to admit but I have a problem. I have a mouse in my stove. The little !@#$%^ lives inbetween the casing and the inner box. Mind you he doesn't get in food prep areas, he just lives in the insulation aound it. I am planning on pulling the stove out and pulling the casing off. I have used every type of trap known to man kind but can't catch him. I have no idea how he's getting in but he's there. I figure once I get it out and apart I'll be able to block future entrance. Heres the question- Is the insulation special or will the pink without the paper be ok? I am gonna pull all of it out and want to replace it. The stove is only about a year and a half old so getting rid of it is out of the question.

I doubt Owins-Corning pink is the correct insulation for your stove. Does your stove have a self cleaning function? Try glue traps around and under the stove. If that doesn't get him, do a self-cleaning cycle on the oven.

Believe it or not, I have had this exact problem.<br /><br />I would not recommnd trying to roast him out. Been there done that. It (smell) just about ran us out of the house. Apparently the first roasting attempt killed the mouse and the smell, of the carcass after further "ripening" attempts, reappeared for several weeks.<br /><br />Take the stove apart and contact an appliance repair parts house. They will have the insulation.

He runs outside your fence roscoe, not in your yard, thats why he doesn't poop there.<br /><br />I have did the self cleaning feature with glue traps. I had to turn it off for the smell it was making. The thing is still there because he pushes insulation out around the edges. I have glue trapped it to death. I reckon I'll have to call a shop to see what they say will work.
