Interchangeable parts for 1980's ????

I have a 1981 60hp johnson Seahorse. I am currently considering to rebuild it. If I were to buy another used Johnson, what years or horsepowers would be compatibable to mine? I guess what i need to know is, what year/Hp is compatible with mine? Thanks.

You have the highest HP avail for your model.<br /><br />You can purchase a 50hp,55hp or 60hp.<br /><br />All 2cyl versions. The electronics may vary though.<br /><br />TMD
