I have an old 12' aqua queen boat from the 50's that at one time had a non slip paint or coating on the inside of the hull in a grey color. This has been worn off over time; i would like to repaint it but with what and how? I was considering the bedliner stuff for trucks but there seems to be conflicting opionions on the forum regarding its use so ideas anyone ojn what too use boy it gets slippery when wet now with bear auluminum!!!!

Rustoleum with sand (or an actual labeled "non-skid" additive) in it should work great. And bare aluminum needs to be hit with an etching primer first.

You will have to ruff the surface before appling anything over it to ensure a good bond. I don't like the paints with sand or teflon aditives for non-skid, over time the non skid will will wear through the paint and you don't get very good non skid from it to start with. Check out Kiwi Grip, it is a really easy product to apply and is awesome non-skid. Only thing is, with any non skid, it will be harder to keep clean. The kiwi can be tinted to any color, and it looks sharp. Here is a pic of the non skid I did on my M&D's boat. It is a steel hull, rustoleum epoxy painted with the Kiwi over the top of it. This is white over white. They did have the non skid aditive in the epoxy paint, but it did nothing when wet, which is when you need it most! You can actually see the difference of the two different types of non skid in the second pic. ;)Good luck with your project.

That stuff looks great but maybe to expensive for my blood right now as $40.00 for a qaurt and the gallons are pretty stiff in price but your project looks fantastic...

Not really that expensive when it covers a large area. That was a single coat. One quart should do your whole boat and comes with a roller.
