Trying to remove my intermediate bearing from my housing, both snap rings and seals are off. I've done some searching here on the site but what I can't figure out is this: It is a volvo 290 with a single bearing bellhousing.
1. which way does the bearing come out, towards the front of the engine, or towards the rear of the engine? (if the bellhousing were in the boat)
2. Does the shaft come out first, and then the gimbal bearing?
3. if you must pull the shaft, does it matter which way you press out the shaft?
4. Does a drift punch work for this?
Sorry I've been asking so many questions, but I've finally got all my parts and its D-weekend.
