I ran the boat some this past weekend.
I learned that I have a lot to learn, as this is a heavy feeling boat, and a bit different from the john boats and sail boats I've had before. On the smoother water, and the (rare) times I wasn't messing w/ the trim constantly, I saw 5300 or so (maybe a bit more) RPM and 45 mph (plus/minus 5 as the speedo. needle was bouncing). I can likely get "more" when I learn to trim the boat more properly. It was a pretty good end to the weekend.
