Is it ok to replace the platinum plugs on my '05 5.0 GXi-E fuel injected with iridium plugs? It currently has Delco 41-932 plugs in it, what iridiums should I replace it with if it's ok?

Re: Iridium Plugs?

I've heard a few people say that they've switched to iridium in their boats and they notice all kinds of improvements. Anything from better starting and better fuel useage to more power. Is it just in their heads or can iridium improve those things? I'm just curious if it's even safe to use them? I'm sure I've read they burn quite a bit hotter than the platinums.

Ayuh,.... Bullship,.... It's in their heads, that they gotta try to justify wastin' their money....

Fancy spark plugs do None of those things for a boat motor...

A 50,000 volt spark is the same "Heat" whether from a spark plug, or groundin' the wire to the block...

Iridium will last longer but it won't make it run any better. I'd rather get platinum and change them more often and know they are new.
