Yes,
it is a Gm V-6. You can go to NAPA and get the correct MARINE parts for that engine. What sort of parts are you getting?

Ayuh,... And the Parts Guy is going to ask you Which Igntion system you've got,...
That's a part of what OMC added to the basic pickup truck motor they bought from Chevy...

You should have them look up a 1986 OMC. Chevy used a Delco distributor, OMC didn't.

Napa has the correct parts and can look them up no problem.
Not much difference in price from regular auto parts.

I have a Napa parts book if you want me to look it up i will go out to the truck and get the book....

Gary, I would appreciate it if you would. I am starting to get ready for a full tune up and am looking for a Dist. and Wires. I just bought a compression tester and timing light. Soon, my boat will be running great!
