I have a 1980 V4 85hp which i would like to transform into a 140. i know there is a LOT of mill work involved so i have been on the look out for a 140 block in the hope that i can swap over the internals for my 85 and save all the machining.
So this block became available. its a 1977 135 hp part number 387750.
My engine is a 1980 85hp part number 0389912
Can anyone tell me if these are compatible or shall i have to go don the road of milling ect my block.

They didn't make a 135 in 1977......1975 was last year and it has different mounting pattern so no if its a 1975. Still have to mill the exhaust deflector blocks...
