usedshort shaft 40-50hp a needle in haystak<br />ive been lookin for a while now and cant seem to find one, right now im runnin an old 63 johnson 40 horse short shaft,but i want something newer preferablly with tilt, trim, but cant find one, im up to 38 mph and have cupped the hell out of the biggest prop i can find for it <br />please give me some advise, a long shaft is out of the question, so r 4cyl. . my boat is only 13ft long and 15 inches deep max so weight is an issue

Those engines are not a big production item but they are out there.Hopefully you will have a dealer in your area that specialises in inflatable boats and they may have trade ins ,and can likely get you new product.Remember also that if you find this engine elsewhere it will be hard for the owner to unload because it's a little uncommon.Good luck.
