Re: Is Bombardier, Johnson, Evinrude going to make it.
As I understand it, the whole point of DFI, (or the main point at least) was to inject the fuel mixture "after" the exhaust port was closed, thereby vastly reducing the amount of fresh charge that went out the the exhaust port. I can see no reason why a design like that would output more unburnt waste then a 4 stroke. (bar the oil issue.)

As someone else mentioned, valve overlap has much the same result, and since most 4 strokes have to be of a slightly higher tune to compete with similiar sized 2 strokes, overlap is one of the methods used to gain HP... (the fact that it increases emmisions and lessons fuel eccomomy notwithstanding

Good luck to Bombi, I have only owned Johnyrudes with the exception of a Crysler or two...

I'm also a Suzuki fan, (raced their motorX bikes for a few years.) but I doubt I'd buy a suzuki OB unless it was in a Jonnyrude because I don't trust the suzuki parts availability.. if its in a bombi housing, they will feel obliged to support it much better then suzuki themselves would.

rgds

Franki
