I can buy a 91 crestliner phantom sst II 18.6 for 5500. On a good trailer. Upholstery is a little rough and the top only has a season or two left in it. I got him to take the 91 force off it. It is a long leg and not correct for the boat and I don't want the hassle of selling it. I have a 90hp Yamaha to go on. Does this seem like a reasonable price. Any opinions would be appreciated

And w/out pix it'd be hard to say yes to $500.... But I agree $5500 is way out of line for a 23 year old boat that's showing its age.

Sorry it does have a welded aluminum hull does that make a difference

No. NADA says around $2k but that doesn't account for the fact it is almost winter. I wouldn't pay more than $1000 in decent shape this time of year and without a motor. $5500 is still way too high.

check the plywood of the transom. there is a single piece of 3/4" plywood that goes across the back of the boat which is visible under the back where the batteries are. That is a known weakness on these things. If thats solid maybe $1000 if not $500.

I was gonna say up to maybe $2000 but that would assume a VERY nice trailer with new tires lights etc and also depend heavily on HOW rough the interior is.... at 5500 it better have a $4500 motor on the back.

2 years ago this month I purchased a 1988 16' Alumacraft with a blown 1988 70hp Evinrude on a 4 year old Shoreland'r trailer for $1100.00. It also came with what I figure to be about $500.00 worth of other almost new equipment. So I'd agree that $5500.00 is a bit out of line.

Another vote for WAY overpriced. I paid $1000 for a '68 Holiday in good condition, with a trailer and a running 115hp Evinrude. A rough boat and trailer like that is worth $500-$1500.

Way, way, way too much money. I bought my 1995 16' Sylvan (same style as that Crestliner, though not a welded hull), for $2K with a good trailer and a running 85 Yamaha. It's your business how much you want the boat, but you won't get this one for anywhere near fair market value. A seller who thinks that boat is worth $5500 is living on his own planet will NOT let it go at a realistic price. BTDT. Save yourself a ton of frustration and forget you ever saw it. Keep shopping.
