i just wondering if evinrude is full of USA made??

i just found out brand new mercuy 40hp to under made from tohatsu!!!! from china/japan

Yes. USA and Canadian built. BRP is a Canadian company. Of course components come from all around the world.

I dont believe it. When I take the cowl off of my evinrude 150 there is a sticker on the plastic cover of the OIS that clearly states "made in mexico"

OMC before BRP made electronic components in Mexico. Most of the machined and cast parts are of US/Canadian origin.

thank for infomation i used like both omc and mercury until i found out tohatsu build for mercury then i buy only evinrude!

Might be a big difference in "Made in USA" and "Assembled in USA" ...

Yamaha used to build the Mariner series for Mercury years ago, and Mercury supplied the lower units for Honda a couple of years. Not to bust your bubble but Suzuki supplied the 4 strokes for Johnson/Evinrude.....

The raw casting come from Spruce pine, North Carolina to Sturtevant wisconsin, the. The blocks are all machined assemble, and tested under the same roof in the Sturtevant facility. Source I work there as a machinist.

My Evinrude was made in Belgium according to the ID plate.

Some of the small modern ones are rebadged Tohatsus,, like Mercs and Mariners

There was a time when some were rebadged Suzukis
