Yesterday we were 102 with a heat index of 115.

Today was 104 with a little lower heat index.

86 with high humidity here...I picked the wrong year to start cutting/splitting firewood late. I finally got a snowblower last year, now it seems like I'll never use it.

It's the middle of winter here: Max 73 (23C), Min 50 (10C). Blue skies, warm in the sun and flat water... Love it!

September, october, (maybe) november can be really nice here.
I'm looking forward to that, and then WHAM, winter.

But then comes spring.... and the boat come's out of hibernation.
Just one continous vicious cycle.

I am not making this up.Piedmont N.C.I saw a squirrel laying spawled flat in the empty bird bath last week.i guess the conc. in th shade was 2degrees cooler than the air @ 2pm.i went to fill it and water in the black hose made the nozzle so hot i had to drop it!when it cooled down I washd and filled it but before i ws done 2 squirrels ran 25 yrds up 2.5' and almost jumped up on it as i was still spraying.they usually run if they just see me pick up the hose!I live on a dead end and have great water pressure!!one jumped on the other as i backed away.turns out one was in season and needed a drink badly!I gave her cover until she finally made it and drank for 2mins!!as she ran off I saw 12/15 chasin her and wondered i she would make it through the day.then I went back inside and had a cold beer and cleaned my pellet rifle.
