As soon as Labor Day passes, the number of new threads drop off like somebody pulled the plug. During the national boating season, seems like it's hard to keep up with all the threads. Now that most boaters' season has come to an end, there's barely anything new to read.

What are you going to write about ??. If your boat is put away for the winter.
Wait until spring and you'll read about all the cracked engine blocks.

Where they saved $50 bucks by doing it themselves.

I guess being in an area that has 365 days of boating, I look forward each day for interesting topics. Of course, the cracked block threads next spring will be interesting, but will most likely end up having me shake my head.

The off-season is when you talk about all the upgrades/improvements you want to do, advice on how to do 'em , etc. Also a great time for boat shopping.

Its pretty hard for me to do any upgrades when its 20 below here in the winter.

What I want to do .. Radar & More underwater lights & in the cabin put blue rope lights.

Yeah, after Labor day, it does slow down. Although there are the the people in the south who are boating all year.

I'm trying to get the new motor on my boat and get it back in the water before Thanksgiving. Have about 10 hours of break-in time to get through and I want to run through all 10 hours before storing for the winter.

Nice part of the hard top is its still nice to be out on the water even though its cold weather. The hard top lets me really extend the boating season here in the north east.

Yep, things back off some at this time of year. The onslaught of cracked somethings and the "my motor won't start" threads will arrive in spring.

Bummer! This will be my first winter as a member so I was hoping iboat member would help me get through this winter. We are however going to be re-working our pontoon turning it into a family fun floating party barge. I'll have to post some pictures as it goes. Plans include a diving board and a pool slide. Should be a lot of fun next year!

I think iboats maintained a pretty respectable level of activity last winter and I expect even better this year.

wait for it... wait for it.... there it is the a/c just kicked on. it got to a low of 65 last night maybe. had to actually sleep under the covers. hahahaha gotta love the winter time in the desert.

Well, the Starcraft is almost put to bed for the winter. Maybe I will start a thread about repowering the SeaRay after the "Milky Oil" thread this past Spring.

Next thread will be, "From Milky Oil to 375 HP". Sounds fun!
