Is it me or does this boat seem over priced

Fella been trying to sell it for close to a year.. Told me he let $4500 walk away from it.. So I was like does it come with a hot chick in a bikini or something? Anyhow vote your opinion http://houston.craigslist.org/boa/2230984603.html

But it doesn't say brand new engine or brand new outdrive... Also new paint.. Makes ya kinda wonder why it needed new paint huh.. 28 years old? IDK.. teak swim platform is it's coolest option.. Ya just can't get what ya put into one.. Sorry it's pretty much a fact.. That's why some folks keep theirs for so long.. Just my opinion

Seems to me like 4500 is pretty close to his asking price, especially if it's been for sale for a while. Must sell means different things to different people.

He is nuts for not taking it if it did happened.. I kid you not this boat has been on CL for at least a year.. Posted 10 times a month..

Repainted stuff spooks me.. Never looks as good as a new boat.. Most have orange peel like a car..

Looks decent from the outside. If inside is ok mechanically, I'd go 3,000,
if I was willing to spend lots on gas, which I am not.

That price would fly around me. It looks like its in good shape. I wouldnt be worried about the paint, if done right there is no problem. The kicker would be what the stringer and transom look like along with if the engine is a good as stated.

clean 21' boat with a good , running engine...with a dual axel trailer.... seems ok to me.....

painted hull isnt a bad thing...older boats paint fades......just like rebuilding a motor isnt a bad thing!!

someone wants to all the sudden take their kids skiing this coming summer. doesnt want to fix stuff, just wants a turn key toy.....this is right up his alley.

the buyer doesnt want to sell to a dealer or a boat expert, or a flip artist.....

lets him sell it for 5 years....shouldnt bother any of us!!
