Is it possible to install trim tabs on my boat?

Here's a pic of the back end of my boat. I have a set of Smart Tabs SX 80lb. The only place I can see see mounting them is fairly close to the drive, but that's if I move the paddle wheel, which I don't want to do.

I would like to mount them outboard, under the "sweet" and "dreams" (we didn't name it). But I just don't know that would work, because the actuator will have to be mounted to the underside of the swim platform.

I'm planning on calling them and seeing what they say, but I thought I'd ask here first and at least get some idea of what's possible before I call them.

Thanks,
Steve

Call them. They've got stuff for that. Nothing wrong with mounting to the underside of the swim deck with the right parts.

Why not just put them on the port and starboard sides of the transom, kinda behind that swim ladder (although it might need to be relocated). The swim deck I wouldn't think would affect them, would it?

What's the "problem" with the boat. No sense in putting on bandaids if you have good performance.

The vertical distance is a shorter than it looks. There's not even close to enough room for the actuator.

It's definitely not bad, very smooth riding and quick. But I'll fall off plane at about 20 MPH (GPS), and I can't trim it to the sweet spot without the bow bouncing. In order to get the bow to calm down, I have to trim down just enough to feel the engine load, and I can feel the drag from the hull. Nothing I can't live with, but if what everyone says is true with Smart Tabs, then I'd like to give it a shot. Plus, I have them laying around from my old boat 2 years ago. Sold the boat before I got to install them.

I've been on the Mariah forums and everybody says the same thing. The smart tabs helped them. But I didn't see where anyone mounted them on my exact boat.

I guess I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say.

Thanks,
Steve
