could a after market switch be installed for the tilt and trim if the switches are missing, i have a 1983 stingray motor with a 190 hp 4 cylinder.

yes...use a 3 way momentary swiitch

thank you i knew it was possible is there a diagram around i could follow if not i will manage. but thanks im going to install the out drive back and see if i could find a switch for the trim and tilt. any where i could find it .

look on top of your shift handle / throttle handle

I had one that the trim switch in the handle shorted out and we used an aftermarket 3-way trim switch after that. it worked fune until I got a new set of controls and went back to the trim switch in the new handle...
