At full speed you can still adjust it..just be careful until you get the feel of how the boat handles..

You trim up or down depending on speed or water conditions and you can do that at any on plane speed. Once on plane you start to trim up and until you learn what is best play with the trim just a little at a time and check speed and rpm, when you find the point that speed and rpm no longer go up but start to decline then trim down a little so you can get back to the sweet spot. Should you trim up and the boat starts to propoise trim down a little to stop that. Rough water you usually trim down just a little to make the ride better, could make it wetter also, when I am in the sound and trim down and slow down for rough water the bow will split the wave and the water shoot straight up either side of the boat and depending on the wind direction you get sprayed. :D

In my perfect world we would always have calm seas gentle winds and relatively flat water and an abundance of fish and they are always willing to bite. Ok, nuff said about that, the real idea as stated before was effiency on the water. On a calm day anyone can look good, but when you have a rough go of it, learn to read the water ahead, and be ready to back down if you see a larger wave approaching. They do run in sets for some reason and from my experience it would seem the 6th to 9th will be larger. Never asked and don't have a clue about that. It's much better to trim down and run then to just back off and plow. Just don't try and see if you or your boat can take the most abuse. The boat will probably win but it won't do it any good.

Just an opinion

Safe boating ya'll
