Re: Is my boat a Chris Craft??? Please help
Looks very similar to a Thompson and the windshield lines and the chines are also similar to a Chris Craft. That said, Chris Craft Corsairs were built in the Thompson factory when they came together with Chris Craft. That is probably why folks may be telling you its a Chris Craft. I don't know of any aluminum models from Chris Craft, but I can look. There is a book, a definitive guide for all Chris Craft models and I'll see if there is anything in there on aluminum models. Do you know if there is a model number or name? BTW, clever use of a pair of Harley FLH hard bags in the cockpit!
Your boat is too old to have a manufacturer's plate, but not too old to have a hull ID number. Check at the bow below the rub rail. Might find a series of letters and numbers stamped in. Not all hull ID numbers for Chris Craft started with CC. I have a Corsair and there are no "C"s in my hull ID.
