I recently bought a 13' Boston Whaler project, and would like to get the motor going. It's a 1983 Johnson 35, and has very low hours. The boat simply sat (covered, thank goodness) for many years. Everything on the motor looks good, and it has good compression, but all of the rubber shock mounts are broken(?) No problem, except the upper front one is no longer available! All of the others are- just not that one. Considering that it fits a LOT of different models, over many years, I can't understand why it isn't. Anyone have a clue as to where to get one? I've thought about making one, but it won't be easy. I wonder if I should make a mold and start selling re-pops? Anyhow- does this mean that a perfectly good motor is now junk?
Thanks for any advice, commiseration, or sympathy you can offer!
