Re: Is my motor tilted to much?
Since you are unfamiliar with how trim works, you need to understand "why" in addition to just getting an in or out answer. If you were to think of the propeller as being attached to a long lever (the rest of the engine) and you pushed straight forward on the prop, the boat would simply move straight forward. With the engine trimmed out (as you have it) the force is no longer straight forward but downward . Therefore the twisting force will try to bring the bow of the boat upward. Conversely the opposite is true if the motor is trimmed all the way in so the force is tending to push the stern of the boat upward and hence the bow downward. You need to experiment with trim settings. With two people in the boat the trim will need to be set differently (usually) than with just one. Since you don't have power trim, you can move heavier stuff forward if necessary. Proper trim is when the boat skims over the water (on plane) with the bow slightly high. If it gets too high the boat will likely porpoise (bow bounces up and down). With too little trim the bow will simply plow through the water. To answer your question, I feel the trim is a bit high. Move the motor in one hole. But make test runs with what you consider an average load. You won't know which setting is best until you try.
