Re: Is my new avatar offensive?

You know, I am beginning to care less and less about what "offends" people. Where did people get the idea that they have some kind of a right to go through life without being offended?

Personally, I don't like your present avatar, but that's immaterial, isn't it? I don't have to like what you put up there, and you don't have to put one up that I do like. As long as it doesn't violate a certain standard of decency, let 'er rip!

Dogsdad makes a good point. I too really don't care if people get "offended" by things they don't like.

What I find disturbing is low class and tasteless behaviour and displays becoming more popular and acceptable.

Example: I am not "offended" by the trucker who has a half naked woman with large breasts and her hand in her panties air brushed on the side of his cab. But I do think he is low-class, uneducated trash for thinking this is appropriate art work for the side of his truck. Of course I could be wrong, but that is the message he sends to me.

PS, I think Monty Python was the best!

I wasn’t able to see your avatar, but I occasionally watch some British TV. ‘Office’ is good, think they tried to make it here but it bombed. You guys take ‘Footballers Wives’ to places ‘Desperate Housewives’ doesn’t even know about. ‘Bodies’, the everything that can go wrong in hospital will go wrong soap opera is fun, better than the American E.R. series. And, of course, there is ‘Mile High’ ... don’t even need to comment in it.
:)

We get your shows a couple of years after you're done with them.

I like your attitude... :)

Shame about you not liking my current avatar though, apparently it's quite a good likeness of me! :D

Parts of it. It was scheduled in after Mile High. After all of that t&a I couldn’t get in the right frame of mind to enjoy Viva Blackpool. I did see a few of the rescheduled airings tho, but not the whole series. Liked it.

I'm waiting for the new season of Footballers Wives. We left off with Jason having impregnated his best mate’s mother, who gave birth to a hermaphrod!te, then Jason fell off the roof after his wife refused to remarry him in front of all the guests at the re-wedding. Ahhh it’s a good soap…
:D

Nos, it was a good idea to check before changing your avatar. When I changed my burning into the Samurai I had a few post poofed by some jagoff because some pantie headed super sensitive types were "offended." I am an ok guy and do not try to be offensive. When someone takes something as friggin petty as GD avatar on this DC forum and gets their nickers all bunched up over it, THEY have the problem, not me. But sadly THEY have the sympathy of the JAGOFF! I dig your new avatar, and I wsh you could use it.
