Is my o2 sensor OK? 1997 250HP SWSII

I was wondering if I hurt my O2 sensor. I took it off and soaked it in ringfree for 5 days. I only soaked it to the bottom of the threads. I have been waiting on some back ordered parts including the gasket to reinstall the sensor, so I took it out of the ringfree and rinsed it with gas. Is this OK, or did I do something bad to the sensor?? Help is apreciated thanks!!

As long as you didn't immerse it, you should be fine. When you put it back in, run the test on it. Just cause it's clean, doesn't mean it's working right.

I hope so, I am worried that rinsing it with gas was a bad idea. Ive got a big four day trip planned this weekend, and I probably can't get another o2 sensor in time.
