Yeah, that's what they said.

Thank you for your email. Stratos did not go to all composite materials
until 1998. Anything prior to that would have used wood encapsulated
with fiberglass.

I agree with the others, if you haven't been finding much water in your bilge your boat is probably fine.

If your transom was real bad the wood would be swelling and putting cracks in your glass and popping cracks at your rub rail and top cap.

Seal everything real good like the others have said and go fishin'.

Again, I apologize for the misinformation.

Thank you. I guess I could use either 4200 or 5200 for this job.
Jigngrub, thank you for the info. I didn't even think to email Stratos. I haven't seen any cracks or anything. I will keep a close eye on water in the bilge and cracks. Now I plan to seal it up next week and GO FISHING! Thanks again.
