Is prop on right?

Hello,
I was tring to put my prop on today and it didn't look right. Below are pictures I took. Cab someone take a look and tell me what you think? Be hind the prop are what look like metal spacers, if I remove one of them it might fit better. The only thing is the spacer were on there when I took of the propeller.

those spacers are thrust washers, it only needs one, at least thats what mine has

Shytown is correct. It appears that the prop you have already has a thrust washer installed. Some of them stay stuck in the prop, others fall free or stay on the shafte. You shaft appears to also have a thrust washer. Only one is required.

Did it "look right" before you took off the prop?......

The second photo shows, what appears to be, a severely gouged and scratched thrust washer.....or thrust washer bearing face on the prop hub.

Use ample amounts of a waterproof grease on reinstall. Shaft, spines and faces of the thrust washer(s)

Thanks for all the advice. Upon further instection of the thrust washers I noticed the have a slight concave to them. After realign them prop slid right on. Now I need some waterproof grease. Anyone have any suggestions on what kind to buy?

Any grease will work in a pinch but I use Yamaha Marine grade grease on the propshaft. I think I paid $5 for a pound tub of it a few years back. Wally World carries Quick Silver marine grade grease that work well too.

Bondo's signature says it all... "Any grease is better than no grease at all"

I use a white teflon waterproof grease that you can find in Pep Boys or Advance auto. It comes in a little jar and works great. It is not as cheap as the stuff in the tubs but your shaft is worth it.
