1. Is the 1973 Chrysler 35HP Engine Propeller's Pin's Plastic Retainer strong enough to not break from a mild stump bump? The lower unit "only" has been in the sun 24 years.
2. Are newer retainers aluminum? One seam or crack is showing but I feel it came from the factory (it?s so clean).
3. Are newer retainers plastic with a steel sleeve that would hold the Propeller's Pin if the plastic breaks?
4. Sleeving the existing plastic appears not be a chore but the plastic is old, is sleeving what I need to do before it?s too late if all are still plastic?
5. Has anyone experienced the loss of a Propeller's Pin due to a broken plastic retainer??
6. Did I slow access to the site by adding attachments vs busy or repairs? Since adding other attachments the site crawls bad. I'll send attachments later if needed after waiting over an hour for the option to attach.
Thanks,
Joe
