I have had a dock for several years now at the same marina. Prior to my 27 footer I had a 20'deep v. My one fishing buddy that always tried to consume more beer than the lakes capacity had always walked to the end of the dock beside my boat to relieve himself. With the 20' boat, and the dock being 24, he made this trip many times. Now with this 27 footer, a couple of nights ago he thought he would make is little trip. Thought he had a few feet beyond the boat to do his business, WRONG! The sucker walked right off the end of the dock! We laughed for a bit. He dried off and then an hour or two later, bingo, he did it again. We took the hooks off his favorite lure, and then he still fished with that lure for the rest of the night. Said he was getting strikes but couldn't figure out why he wasn't able to catch them. He'll find out later.
