Is there a drain in the lower engine cover?

Some mud daubers built in various places under my engine cover. I was able to remove the bulk of the mud, but I'm wondering if I can rinse things off to get rid of the bits that fell to the bottom? Is it OK to use a bit of low-pressure water to rinse things out? Does the water have a safe place to go?

Thanks

If that's the 1993 50HP, the lower cowl is split and really easy to take off for cleaning.

Thanks... I was looking at the parts digram and that was not obvious. Only problem is I'd be doing this over water, so I'd be afraid of dropping something. I suppose I could do my usual trick of parking the Jon boat under the stern.

yes, spraying water in there should be fine. i have done that using degreaser with a large stiff artists brush and a compressed air jet for the hard to reach
spots.

Thanks, I'll give that a try before disassembly. I'll go low volume first to see what happens.
