As long as they are double braid nylon lines, that are fine. You are going with the 1/2" line, right?

Well, now that is a good questions.. When I first posted this the boat I attended to buy a Tahoe Q6 20'6" 2,730 lbs, and most suggested that 3/8 line more than enough. However, if all goes well I will be picking up a Tahoe Q8i 21' 8" 3,500 lbs in the next week.

Should I now go with 1/2" line due to the extra weight of the boat? I know the cleats are much larger on this boat, and Handling the 1/2" will not be an issue.

The above rope I posted were made of Polypropylene.

My docking needs are going to be for, Vacation once or twice a year, occasional weekend trip, and of course stopping for food/fuel.

Polypropylene rots in the sun. You will get a year out of it or maybe a bit more. it will then get too coarse and weak to be of any use.

Stick with the nylon line. 1/2" line is what you want. It is a lot easier to handle than thinner line. if the boat faces normally windy or wavy conditions and/or left alone for days on end, you might consider 5/8" lines, for the abrasion resistance. Chafe gear is also a good idea wherever the line crosses a hard object like a deck, cleat, dock etc.
