Re: Is there a max RPM I can safely adjust the outdrive angle
This thread still leaves a hole for me.
1) johnv100, what drive and engine package and how old? If this is an OMC stringer you could do serious damage if it does not have "trim". Your control may say "trim", but that does not insure that it is
trim. I am accused often of requiring too much clarity, but in the case of communicating technical info there is no such thing.
2) I am not confident that we can say that 25 MPH and 2500 RPM is good without knowing what the boat/engine/drive combo is. If this is a 28 footer with a single small block, then the data is probably off. If this is an 18 footer with a big block, then she is slow. If this is a 20 footer with a small block, then prolly just right. An accurate answer requires more info (see point 1). Accurate tach? GPS speed? Boat and power package info.
Jamie Z, you should probably post a thread in the I/O section. You do have a problem and it needs to be addressed over there . . .

The reason I left this thread in the Boat Topics section is that it is an operation question, not a repair question.
One reason that it is important to have these threads technically accurate is for the archives. When others use the search function, a "completed" discussion can make that waaaay more valuable
